COUNSELLING

My psychological counselling is based on developmental and personality psychology. Counselling is a process in which we work together to understand and address personal challenges, emotional difficulties and mental health concerns. It involves talking through issues, gaining insight and developing effective coping strategies to improve your overall wellbeing.

I specialise in analysing problems, identifying their root causes, suggesting possible solutions and preventing similar problems in the future. This collaborative approach helps you to gain a deeper understanding of yourself and your experiences, promoting personal growth and resilience.

Together we will explore your current coping strategies, assess their effectiveness and develop new, tailored solutions. This process can help you to cope more effectively with life's challenges and create lasting positive change.

I often work with parents on issues relating to their children's education and development, providing advice and support to help them create a nurturing and effective learning environment.

Counselling can be short term or long term depending on your needs. Short-term counselling focuses on immediate concerns and finding quick solutions, while long-term counselling involves repeated sessions to address deeper issues and facilitate ongoing personal growth. Sessions typically last 55 minutes, with the option of longer appointments if required.
